"Founded in April 2024 by Physiotherapists Dr. Charles Finney M and Dr. Shanmugapriya R, Movhabily Physiotherapy LLP is a specialized Physiotherapy clinic near Tambaram, dedicated to delivering expert Neurological Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation services.

With over 15 years of collective experience in the field, Dr. Charles Finney M brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on expertise as a Neuro Physiotherapist, especially in brain physio and stroke recovery.

Our journey began with a vision to create a center that offers tailor-made exercise programs specific to each individual's unique needs and goals—ensuring meaningful and measurable recovery.

At Movhabily Physiotherapy, we’re reshaping physiotherapy and rehabilitation in India. We’ve observed a lack of awareness and recognition for rehabilitation within the healthcare system, leading to incomplete treatments and higher costs.

Our 1300 sq. ft. facility specializes in neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, pulmonary, and cancer rehabilitation, offering a comprehensive range of services tailored to all age groups.

Our approach is unique. We are not just physiotherapists; we are experts in our field, employing evidence-based practices and advanced techniques to ensure the highest standard of care.

Evidence-Based Care, Not Traditional Methods
We don’t follow traditional physiotherapy concepts like passive exercise or the routine application of modalities such as IFT, WAX, TRACTION, and UV. While we do have these modalities, they are only used when highly recommended based on careful assessment. As part of the Choosing Wisely® campaign, we avoid passive physical agents unless they facilitate participation in an active treatment program.
Exercise is Essential
As recommended by Towards Optimized Practice (2015) in Canada, we emphasize therapeutic exercise. We encourage patients to gradually increase activity within their pain tolerance, without needing sophisticated equipment.
Qualified Guidance for Pain
If exercise worsens a patient’s pain, our experienced physiotherapists assess and adjust the program accordingly. If pain persists, we recommend further medical consultation to determine the need for additional treatment.
Patient-Specific Exercise
Each exercise plan is customized to the patient’s capacity, with careful monitoring and adjustment as needed. This ensures that patients are engaged in appropriate levels of activity that support recovery and improve function.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration for Optimal Care
We follow the recommendations of the British Pain Society and British Geriatrics Society (2013), emphasizing increased activity through personalized exercise. We tailor programs that focus on strengthening, flexibility, endurance, and balance, ensuring exercises align with the individual's needs, preferences, and capacity. We address motivation and barriers to maintain ongoing productive activity and support long-term recovery.

About Our Founder

Dr. M. Charles Finney, PT, MPT (Neuro)

Dr. Charles Finney is a highly experienced Neuro Physiotherapist with over 15 years of clinical expertise in treating neurological conditions. A strong believer in natural healing, he has helped numerous patients recover from complex neurological and mobility issues—often avoiding surgery or long-term medications. His vision for Movhabily Physiotherapy℠ is to create a centre where movement, recovery, and happiness go hand in hand.
He holds a Master’s degree in Neurological Physiotherapy and has worked across hospitals, clinics, home care, academic institutions, and fitness settings. His deep understanding of rehabilitation science and his patient-centric approach form the foundation of Movhabily.
